Motorist who ended up on top of a snow bank faces impaired driving charge

The driver of an SUV found atop a snow bank near St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Wednesday faces a future court date on a charge of impaired driving, Thompson RCMP say.

Police on patrol on Cree Road shortly before 9 p.m. March 25 spotted a black Ford Escape on top of a snow bank and determined that the 60-year-old male driver from Gods Lake Narrows was impaired by alcohol. He provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit and was later released to appear in court at a future date.
