Man found on Millennium Trail with head injury taken by medevac to Winnipeg for treatment

A man found on the Millennium Trail with a serious head injury June 3 was transported to Thompson General Hospital and then taken by medevac to Winnipeg.

Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an injured man being found on the trail near the wastewater treatment plant around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. He was transported from the wooded area by an ATV ambulance and then to hospital. He is now in serious condition at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.

Police believe the injuries were caused by someone the man knew and ask anyone with information about this incident to call the Thompson RCMP detachment at 204-677-6909 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
