Making memories on the last day of classes

Grade 12 students from R.D. Parker Collegiate celebrated their impending graduation by taking part in a barbecue on the front lawn of their high school June 13.

Grade 12 students from R.D. Parker Collegiate celebrated their impending graduation by taking part in a barbecue on the front lawn of their high school June 13.

Not only did this event serve as a brief respite before final exams started the next day, but these students also got their hands on some graduation memorabilia like their yearbooks and official “Class of 2019” t-shirts.

They even got the chance to humiliate their teachers one last time in a very public game of tug-of-war.

According to RDPC principal Rob Fisher, approximately 160 students will be sporting the traditional cap and gowns during the school’s upcoming graduation ceremony, which is taking place June 26 at the C.A. Nesbitt Arena.
