Kraft Dinner boxes and baby formula cans containing marijuana and alcohol seized by Thompson RCMP

Kraft Dinner boxes and baby formula containers packed with nearly half a kilo of illicit cannabis, alcohol and prescription pills destined for Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation were seized by Thompson RCMP around 4 p.m. April 15.

Police were tipped off that illegal drugs were being shipped to the First Nation via a delivery service and seized the cargo. The baby formula containers were filled with alcohol and the box containing the cans concealed oxycodone and alprazolam pills. The Kraft Dinner boxes concealed 480 grams of marijuana 

Learning that the shipment was connected to a Martin Bay residence, police executed a search warrant around 2 a.m. April 16, seizing 694 more grams of illicit cannabis and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Mac Labelle, 45, Tina Spence, 31, and Derek Vivier, 46, all of Thompson, are facing multiple charges including drug trafficking, distribution of illicit cannabis, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and unauthorized sale of liquor in in connection with the drug seizures. They have been released to appear in court at a later date.
