Intoxicated man and woman who robbed Thompson business and then turned on each other arrested

A man and a woman from Thompson were arrested by RCMP Oct. 15 after robbing a business armed with a broom and then assaulting one another after exiting.

Police responded to a report of a robbery at a business on Thompson Drive around 9:20 p.m. An intoxicated man and woman entered and were aggressive towards the staff and customer, grabbing a broom and stealing money from the cash register before leaving on foot. Officers found the suspects around 9:30 p.m. and obtained video surveillance which showed the suspects assaulting one another outside the business after the robbery.

A 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old female face charges of robbery and assault and Thompson RCMP continue investigating.
