Driver who failed roadside breath test has licence suspended, vehicle impounded

A driver who failed a roadside breath test was issued a three-month driving suspension and had their vehicle impounded Feb. 1. Thompson RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver near Riverside Drive in Thompson around 9 p.m. Saturday.

A driver who failed a roadside breath test was issued a three-month driving suspension and had their vehicle impounded Feb. 1.

Thompson RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver near Riverside Drive in Thompson around 9 p.m. Saturday. Responding officers found the vehicle in the parking lot of the Mystery Lake Hotel and determined that the driver showed signs of impairment. 

The driver's licence was suspended in accordance with new provincial legislation allowing immediate roadside prohibitions to be issued after the roadside breath test was administered.
