George MacKenzie is all smiles at Trapper’s Tavern Oct. 9 after he won $14,563 through the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation’s (NCN) most recent Chase the Ace fundraiser. NCN council member Cheryl Moore (left) and recreation superintendent Lou Moodie (right) say half the money raised through their Chase the Ace, which runs Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mystery Lake Hotel, goes towards the First Nation’s parks and recreation department.
