Woman who left Nelson House home without jacket or boots located safely

Nelson House RCMP have found a woman who had been reported missing after leaving a house in the community around 1 a.m. Jan. 30 without sufficient clothing for the frigid temperatures, which dipped to below -40 degrees Celsius overnight.

Magen Spence left a Nelson House residence without a jacket or boots around 1 a.m. Jan. 30 and was reported missing about 20 minutes later. Nelson House RCMP say they are extremely concerned for her well-being, as temperatures dipped below -40 degrees Celsius overnight.

Nelson House RCMP have found a woman who had been reported missing after leaving a house in the community around 1 a.m. Jan. 30 without sufficient clothing for the frigid temperatures, which dipped to below -40 degrees Celsius overnight.

Magen Spence, 26, was safely located around 2 p.m. Jan 30.

Police and community members conducted extensive foot, vehicle and snowmobile searches after Spence was reported missing around 1:20 a.m. She had left a residence without a jacket or boots about 20 minutes earlier.
