Four fishermen reported missing near Notigi northwest of Nelson House June 28 have been located safe, RCMP say.

Police say the men's fishing boat broke down and they made it to a different fishing camp in the area.

Glen Spence, 51 and Scott Leighton, 44, from Nelson House went to a fishing camp June 25 with Malcolm Peterson, 51, of Thompson, and Larry Moose, 60, from Winnipeg, to engage in commercial fishing. A supply driver attended the camp the following day and didn’t see anyone around, then returned two days later and there was still no one there. He reported the men missing to RCMP because it was unusual for them to be on the water that long without returning to camp.
