A 42 year-old Lynn Lake woman has been arrested and charged with manslaughter following the death of a 49 year-old man, also a resident of Lynn Lake, on July 5.
RCMP from the Lynn Lake detachment, with help from the Winnipeg RCMP, Thompson major crime services and Dauphin and Thompson forensic identification section are investigating the homicide of the male, Kenneth Dennis Hrechka, after responding to a report of a stabbing at a residence in Lynn Lake in the early morning hours of July 5. Hrechka was taken to the Lynn Lake Hospital where he later died.
Anna Louise Short was set to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on July 7. A post mortem will be performed in Winnipeg at the Health Science Centre, and the investigation into the matter continues.
