Nine youths arrested after money, booze and cigarettes stolen during Lynn Lake break-in

Nine teenaged boys were arrested in Lynn Lake following a break-in at a business in which money, cigarettes and alcohol were stolen. Lynn Lake RCMP were called to the business around 8 a.m. Aug. 9.

Nine teenaged boys were arrested in Lynn Lake following a break-in at a business in which money, cigarettes and alcohol were stolen.

Lynn Lake RCMP were called to the business around 8 a.m. Aug. 9. The suspects had entered through a window and caused significant damage inside as well as stealing numerous items, including food. The business owner provided surveillance footage to RCMP, who later arrested the youths, all between the ages of 13 and 15 and residents of the community.

Police recovered a large portion of the stolen cash and some of the cartons of cigarettes that were taken.

The nine suspects were released for a scheduled court appearance in Lynn Lake Sept. 28 and Lynn Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
