Man walking on Highway 6 south of Gypsumville dies after being hit by a vehicle

An unidentified man died after being hit by a northbound vehicle on Highway 6 about two kilometres north of Hilbre around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 12.

The driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old woman from Grahamdale, stopped at the scene and called 911 after the collision.

The man who was struck was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is not a factor in the collision and Gypsumville RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from a forensic collision reconstructionist.
