Kilos of marijuana products and 12 guns seized in Flin Flon drug raid

A dozen guns and more than nine kilograms of marijuana and marijuana-laced products were seized by Flin Flon RCMP when they searched a residence on Princess Boulevard Sept. 26.

A dozen guns and more than nine kilograms of marijuana and marijuana-laced products were seized by Flin Flon RCMP when they searched a residence on Princess Boulevard Sept. 26.

Police found more than three kilograms of marijuana and six kilograms of marijuana-infused edible products, including jam, when they executed a search warrant. Twelve long-barrelled firearms were also confiscated along with Canadian currency.

Thirty-six-year-old Andrew Lyle Wotton was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, drug trafficking, possessing the proceeds of crime and property obtained by crime, production of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of unsafe firearm sabotage. He was remanded into custody.

A 55-year-old man from Creighton, Saskatchewan was charged with possession of a scheduled substance and was released on a promise to appear in court in Flin Flon in December.
