The death of a 45-year-old man in Garden Hill is being treated as a homicide by Island Lake RCMP.
Police were called to a report of an unconscious man lying on a road in the community with serious injuries around 2:45 a.m. Oct. 20. The 35-year-old man was taken to the nursing station where he was pronounced dead.
Madeline Harper, 35, was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death Oct. 24 and was remanded into custody with a scheduled court appearance in Winnipeg Oct. 26.
