Coke, cash and phones seized in two Norway House drug busts

More than 150 grams of cocaine was seized along with cash, cell phones and drug paraphernalia in a pair of busts in Norway House Dec. 7 and Dec. 10. Charges have been laid against one person and are pending against five others as a result.

Norway House RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a Rowdens Bay residence around 9:30 a.m. Dec. 7, where they found 85 grams of cocaine, money, cell phones and drug paraphernalia.Colin Gamblin, 29, of Norway House, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. He was remanded into custody. Two women, aged 25 and 50, and a 61-year-old male were also arrested and charges against them are pending, RCMP said.

Around 9:15 p.m. Dec. 10, Norway House RCMP searched a residence in Pine Grove, where they discovered 85 grams of crack cocaine and some cash.

Two Winnipeg men aged 18 and 20 were arrested and charges are pending.

Norway House RCMP continue investigating.
