How long have you been living in Thompson?

I came here in 1979.

What do you do for a living?

I’m the owner of the Northern Inn and Steakhouse. I’m in my 15th year.

Why do you want to be on city council?

The costs, the taxes are going up all the time and I don’t think people are making the right decisions on how they’re spending they’re money.

When I retire am I going to be able to afford to live in their town? That’s what I’m looking at and I don’t want to go anywhere. I’m going to die in this town, my friend.

I know the city needs money to run, but it’s not being efficient.

What is the biggest local issue you want to address if you’re elected?

Street people, that’s an issue.

I’ve had to deal with it for 15 years. I don’t know the solution but it’s something that I would like to fix. I think that’s a major problem for downtown people like myself.

Why should someone vote for you over the other candidates?

I’m a fair and honest person who thinks about his ideas before he puts in the work. And a lot of people around me are giving me that try and I hope that I can do it. First thing I got to learn is the process. I’m new at it, I’ve been involved in business and watching council over the years, but I still have lots to learn.
