Wolf Pack won the third-annual Thomas Duncan Memorial Paintball Tournament July 4, amassing 1,016 points to beat second-place finisher Neverland by 200 points.

The tournament was held for the first time at Juniper Field in Thompson, which saw its first paintball tournament organized by Lock'n'Load Paintball just four weeks ago.

In 2007 and 2008, the Thomas Duncan Memorial tournament was held at Lock'n'Load's paintball field 14 kilometres south of Thompson.

Organizer Jeremis Ouellette said the tournament could not have gone smoother, as the weather was perfect and Lock'n'Load was able to get a more elaborate set-up into place than in previous tournaments.

"It was a really good success," said Ouellette. "Special thanks to everybody who helped set up and tear down and ref."

The success of the tournament, named in honour of Thomas "Rabbit" Duncan, a committed paintballer who died in 2006, is important to those involved in the sport in Thompson, said Ouellette.

Animosity and Deliverance rounded out the top four at the tournament, with Animosity collecting 774 points to Deliverance's 764.

Fifth place went to The Muffins, with 668 points, while High Output finished with 634.

Second Team came in seventh, with 576 points, followed by The Reapers (416 points), the Deadly DeGraves (290 points) and Isquared, with 270.

Wolf Pack picked up a number of prizes, including $600 cash, for the win.
