RDPC basketball player named Manitoba high school athlete of the week

Grade 12 RDPC student and senior girls basketball team co-captain Kassidy Morin was named one of the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba high school athletes of the week March 9.

R.D. Parker Collegiate’s Kassidy Morin is one of the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba high school athletes of the week.

The Grade 12 student is the co-captain and starting guard for the RDPC Trojans senior girls basketball team and has averaged 11 points, seven blocks, five steals and two blocks per game this season.

"With a win-everything, never-give-up mentality, Kassidy has the ability to elevate her game to highest levels of intensities that her teammates strive to match,” said Morin’s coach Christine Sim. “Kassidy is one of the most resilient and gifted student athletes I have had the opportunity to work with. She is a complete, hard-working player that puts the effort into becoming the best version of herself daily."

Morin also played high school volleyball and has an 83 per cent average in her classes.
