The list rights to Norman Northstar Roger Tagoona, about to enter his second season with the midget AAA team, were traded from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's OCN Blizzard to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Sept. 25 in exchange for the list rights of 18-year-old forward Jorden Iron.

Tagoona, 17, is a forward from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and picked up two Northstars team awards for his play last season, winning the most improved player award and being named co-winner of the Clifford Duchesne Hardest Worker Award along with Calvin Cairns.

Following the Northstars' season, Tagoona skated in playoff games with the Norway House Northstars of the junior B Keystone Junior Hockey League and was a member of Nunavut's territorial team in the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships held in Winnipeg in May.
