A photo of the undefeated championship team hoisting the national trophy has made its way into the 2008-09 North American Year in Review photomural. Showcasing the champions, milestones and award winners from the most recent year, the photomural will be on display in the Hall of Fame for the next year.

Laurel Nychyporuk of Thompson was on of the players on the team.

"I am pleased to congratulate Manitoba's aboriginal women's hockey team on behalf of the province as they are welcomed into the Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame," said Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport Minister Eric Robinson.
