On July 31, representatives from the local chapter of 100 Women Who Care presented a cheque in the amount of $6,250 to the organizers of the upcoming Manitoba Winter Games. The exchange took place at the Vale Regional Community Centre and featured appearances from chapter founder April Saunders and Manitoba Games co-ordinator Dave Martin and host society co-chair Sandra Ross-Hitch. To date, this charitable group has raised approximately $36,450 for local organizations such as the YWCA, the Salvation Army, the Thompson Public Library, and the Thompson Crisis Centre.
