Three women force way into Red Sucker Lake home, assault occupant with weapons

Victim was sent to Winnipeg for further treatment and three suspects face multiple charges.

Three women from Red Sucker Lake have been charged for forcing their way into a home and assaulting a female resident.

Three women from Red Sucker Lake have been charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement after forcing their way into a 29-year-old woman’s residence and attacking her with weapons while a young child was home.

Island Lake RCMP were informed about the assault around 1 a.m. Oct. 5 while the victim was being treated at the nursing station. She was subsequently transported to hospital in Winnipeg for further treatment. Her child was not injured during the incident.

Kyra Knott, 27, Nicole Knott, 37 and Rosanda Knott, 19, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault, assault while choking, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and breaking and entering. All three were remanded into custody and police continue to investigate.
