The Thompson RCMP detachment recently received a donation of quilts from a group in southern Manitoba that makes and distributes them for police departments to give to children or youth who have experienced trauma and have to talk with police officers.

“I personally would like to thank Goodland Quilting group for their continued support of donated handmade quilts to the Thompson RCMP detachment,” said Thompson RCMP Const. Sandy Deibert. “This is such a thoughtful and needed gift.”

The quilt donation program has been going on for at least a decade.
