Thompson RCMP arrest man for throwing bag of used needles, carrying a homemade weapon

31-year-old from Winnipeg was arrested after a disturbance Jan. 10 and faces 14 charges, including assault with a weapon.

A 31-year-old Winnipeg man is facing 14 charges, including assault with a weapon, after throwing a bag of used needles at two other people in Thompson. 

Benjamin Wall also faces charges related to a homemade edged weapon Thompson RCMP found when he was taken into custody Jan. 10.

Police were called to a residence where a man was acting erratically just before noon on Monday. Officers learned that a man had thrown a bag of needles at two people when they confronted him about leaving the residence.

Wall was under court conditions not to own possess or carry any weapons and was remanded into custody. The bag of needles was seized.

No injuries resulted from the incident.
