2009-07-20:

Members received a call from a passing motorist stating there was an intoxicated male walking in the downtown area. Members located the male and arrested him under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. Police checks on the male were negative and the male was lodged in cells until he was sober to be released.

Police attended to the homeless shelter for a report of a male with injuries to his hands. Ambulance was on scene tending to the injuries and witness accounts reveal that the highly intoxicated male was stabbing a stuffed animal and accidentally cut his own hand in the process. The male was treated at Thompson General Hospital.

Police attended to Ospwagan Drive in the Old Burntwood Trailer Court for a report of a break and enter in progress. Upon arrival police located persons outside the residence. Investigation revealed that an intoxicated homeowner had locked himself out of his own house and was trying to break down his door to get in. There was no further police action required.

2009-07-19:

At 6 a.m. report of a possible domestic outside at a downtown location. Police attended and the male and female involved in the incident could not be located.

False alarm at a business at 8 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.

At 8 a.m. report of a theft from a vehicle in the Deerwood area.

At 5:15 p.m. report of an unwanted guest at an apartment in the Riverside area. Police attended and an intoxicated adult female was arrested and removed from the residence.

RCMP received a report of an intoxicated male trying to break into a vehicle. Patrols were made, but the male was gone.

RCMP received a report from a female that another female assaulted her.

RCMP received a report from females that a male approached them and pointed a rifle at them from his car. The male was arrested and the rifle was seized. The male is facing several charges and attempt remand is being sought.

2009-07-18:

Report of a loud party in the Deerwood area at 6:20 a.m. Police attended and the homeowner was given a warning.

At 10 a.m. report that an adult female had been assaulted by her son. The male youth was arrested for the assault, an outstanding warrant and breaches of court orders. He will appear in court at a later date.

Report that another female had assaulted a female. Police attended and the victim did not wish to press charges.

At 1:15 p.m. report of a youth who had not returned home on time. Police located the youth soon after and returned home.

Report of an unwanted guest at a residence in the Eastwood area at 2:30 p.m. Police attended and an intoxicated adult male was arrested for breach of peace.

At 5:40 p.m. report of an intoxicated female staggering into traffic. Police located the female who had been found by her brother who escorted her home.

Report of a disturbance in the downtown area. Police attended and all persons had left the area.

Report of an intoxicated female threatening suicide. She was located and taken for a mental health assessment.

RCMP received a report of a male stabbed at a location. The male was flown to Winnipeg for treatment and is in stable condition. Investigation is continuing.

While a member was dealing with a situation, an intoxicated male obstructed his duty and was arrested, lodged and issued an offence notice as a provincial statute violator.

RCMP received a report from a male that he was beaten up by other males. The male became uncooperative with police and would not provide details.

RCMP received a report that two youth females were intoxicated at a location and were threatening to jump off the bridge. Members located the females running into traffic and arrested them. The one female was breaching conditions of her bail. Once sober the female was flown to Winnipeg for Mental Health Act assessment.

RCMP received a report from a male that another male, who is his cousin, assaulted him. The complainant left when police arrived.

2009-07-17:

Three reports received during the day that unlocked vehicles had been entered overnight in various areas of the city and items taken.

At 11:30 a.m. report of a small child wandering around without adult supervision. The child was located and returned home.

At 11:30 a.m. report that an intoxicated adult male was in a taxi and would not pay his fare. The male was arrested and lodged.

Report of an assault in the Eastwood area at 2:00 PM. Police are investigating.

At 5:30 p.m. report that another adult female outside a downtown establishment had assaulted an adult female. Police are investigating.

Report of a dangerous driver heading into Thompson. The vehicle was located and the driver warned.

Report of a sexual assault in the downtown area. The investigation resulted in the complaint being unfounded.

2009-07-16:

Report of an intoxicated person in the downtown area. Located the person who was breaching conditions by consuming alcohol. They were charged accordingly.

Report of an assault in the Eastwood area. One male youth has been arrested and charged.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle that struck a meridian. Members attended and determined the driver to be intoxicated. The male was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and blew over the legal limit. The male was charged.

RCMP received a report that someone stole some change and a BlackBerry phone from a vehicle.

Report of an intoxicated shoplifter in the downtown area. They were arrested and lodged to prevent continuation.

Report of a residential break and enter where several items were stolen. As a result of the investigation charges are pending against a youth male.

Report of five intoxicated shoplifters at a downtown business. Police attended, and identified all subjects. File is still under investigation

2009-07-14:

Report of a motor vehicle accident in the downtown area. Minor injuries were received and charges are not pending.

Report of an intoxicated female in the downtown area. Same located and wanted by several police agencies. She was remanded into custody.

Report of several suspicious youth in the Eastwood area looking through cars. Police attended to area, unable to locate and persons.

Members responded to a call of a group of kids walking around and one having a machete in the down town core. Members located a boy matching the description and what appeared to be a machete in hand. The subject was arrested and released in the morning with court compelling documents.

2009-07-13:

Members responded to a call of an assault and theft of medications. Members patrolled surrounding areas and located the subject of complaint and arrested. Subject was released in the morning.

Members received a call regarding found human remains located in the industrial area. Members attended and sealed off the scene to proceed with the investigation.

Report of a family fight at a residence in Westwood. Police attended, no injuries. CFS intervention sought for situation. No Charges.

Report received of a break and enter to a motor vehicle. Some property was stolen from the vehicle. The matter is still under investigation.

Thompson RCMP were on patrol and noticed a male subject passed out on the stairs of a downtown business. The male subject was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and taken to Thompson RCMP cells. The male was found to have a warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court. The male was released, to appear in court later in August of 2009.

Thompson RCMP received a call from a concerned motorist regarding a dangerous driving complaint. Through descriptions of the vehicle and driver Thompson RCMP were able to locate the vehicle, and speak with the driver about his actions. Charges were not laid at the time; the driver received a warning.

At 1 a.m. false alarm in an industrial area.

At 3:30 a.m. report of a male banging on windows of an apartment in the Riverside area.

2009-07-12:

Report of mischief to a residence in the Burntwood area at 1:30 a.m.

At 1:50 a.m. report of a loud party in the Burntwood trailer court. Police attended and the residents were advised to keep the noise level down.

At 2:20 a.m. report of a large fight at a local establishment. One adult male was assaulted and transported by EMS to Thompson General Hospital; police are investigating.

Report of a fight at 3 a.m. between two females in the Riverside area. Police attended and located a highly intoxicated adult female who was arrested for causing a disturbance.

At 4 a.m. report of a loud party in the Eastwood area. Police attended and the tenant was advised to keep the noise down.

Report of an intoxicated male threatening to harm himself at an apartment in the Westwood area at 4 a.m. Police attended and the male was taken into custody pending a mental health assessment when sober.

Report of three youths who had not returned home at their curfew time at 11:30 p.m. The youth returned home soon after the report was made.

At 11:30 p.m. report of a group of youth damaging property in the Eastwood area. This matter is under investigation.

RCMP on patrol observed a truck speeding. Investigation revealed the driver was impaired and was arrested. The driver refused to provide a breath sample and was charged.

RCMP observed a male outside a location intoxicated and breaching his probation conditions. The male was arrested and charged.

2009-07-11:

At 5 a.m. report of a possible assault in the Burntwood trailer court. Police are investigating.

At 11 p.m. report that a female youth had been assaulted by two other female youths. This incident is under investigation.

Members received a call regarding an intoxicated male who would not leave a residence in the Eastwood area. Upon arrival members determined the male was not intoxicated and escorted him to his residence before clearing scene.

Members received a call regarding a male youth having been assaulted by another male youth in the Riverside area. Upon arrival members determined the subject of complaint was under the age of twelve and advised him to stay away from the victim. The youth stated that he would and members cleared scene.

A report was made to police of a female who was assaulted outside of a downtown business. Police attended and the victim attempted to flee from police. She was located and spoken to. She identified her assailant but would not cooperate with charges. Her injuries were minor in nature. The assailant was later located and strictly cautioned.

Police attended behind a local hotel for a report of a male and female engaging in sexual activity. They were located and highly intoxicated. Both subjects were arrested for causing a disturbance and taken to Thompson detachment to sober up.

2009-07-10:

At 9 p.m. report of a highly intoxicated female in the downtown area. Police located the female who was unable to care for herself and arrested her under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.

At 10 p.m. report of an intoxicated adult male at a downtown location. Police located the male and he was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act for his own safety.

2009-07-09:

RCMP received a report from a male that another male stole an item from him. The intoxicated male was on conditions that he breached and was arrested and charged. The item was recovered and returned to owner.

At 7:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. report of vandalism to vehicles at two locations in the city.

2009-07-08:

Report of a domestic assault. Police located the victim and a male has been arrested and charged.

Report of a sexual assault in the downtown area. Immediate patrols resulted in the arrest of a suspect. He has been remanded into custody.

RCMP received a report that a female kicked a male in the face at a location. The male was taken to the hospital and the female could not be located.

RCMP members on patrol conducted a vehicle stop and a search revealed a large amount of marihuana. The driver was on a conditional sentence order and had several warrant of arrest. The passenger was breaching his recognizance conditions. Both were remanded in custody.

2009-07-07:

Report of an unresponsive female. Police attended and located an intoxicated person who was treated at Thompson General Hospital and lodged.

Report of a person being assaulted. Police located the victim who refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Report of a runaway youth. The youth was located and returned home.

RCMP received a report from female that people were fighting at a location. Members attended and the female and male were having an argument. The female left cooperatively.

RCMP received a report of a male and female fighting outside a location. Members attended and determined the male and female were arguing and no assault occurred.

2009-07-06:

Report of an attempted theft from a local business. Police arrested one male and the matter is still under investigation.

Report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle however the driver was not impaired and no charges were laid.

2009-07-05:

RCMP were dispatched to a loud party in the Westwood area. Party was shut down without incident, everyone sent on their way.

A report was made to police of vandalism to a vehicle. Police attended the scene and windows were smashed out of the vehicle. There were several bricks lying around the area. This matter is still under investigation.

A report received from Thompson Bylaw of an agitated intoxicated male causing problems downtown. Police attended and the male was apprehended. He was found to be on conditions from a probation order to abstain from alcohol. He was charged accordingly.

Report of a break and enter and mischief to a local business. Extensive damage was done inside the business and the matter is still under investigation.

Two reports of false commercial alarms.

2009-07-04:

While on patrol vehicle noted to be operating in a dangerous manner. Vehicle stopped by police and investigation resulted in charges of impaired driving on driver.

On patrol police noted an intoxicated male stumbling in the downtown area. Checks show him to be on conditions to abstain from alcohol. He was charged accordingly.

Thompson RCMP were waved down by security at a downtown bar. RCMP were told that a male just kicked out a window at the bar and was walking through the parking lot. RCMP caught up to the male matching the description and arrested him for mischief under $5,000. The male was taken to Thompson General Hospital for treatment, lodged in Thompson cells as he was highly intoxicated, and later released when sober on a promise to appear in court.

Thompson RCMP received a call of a loud party in the Burntwood area. Members attended and found the homeowner was listening to loud music by himself. Police had the homeowner turn down his music. No further problems.

RCMP were dispatched to a residence in the Eastwood area for vandalism to a vehicle. A window of the vehicle was broken by a crowbar. Incident still under investigation.

2009-07-03:

Report of a domestic assault. Police located and arrested one male. The female was treated and released from hospital.

During traffic stop police located open cases of alcohol. Tickets were issued and 84 cans of beer were destroyed.

2009-07-01:

RCMP received a report of theft of bikes at a location. The complainant had the subjects and bikes and the subjects were released to their parents without charges.

2009-06-30:

RCMP received a report of theft at a location. A female was arrested and found to be breaching her probation and was charged.

RCMP received a report of a disturbance at a location. A male and female were arguing and members attended to calm the situation. The female left for a while to cool things down.

RCMP received a report of mischief at a location. A male witnessed a female break windows at a location. The female agreed to pay for damages and the male was fine with that.

RCMP received a report from a female that she heard another female being threatened by a male. Members attended and the female provided a detailed statement regarding physical assaults in the past. The male was arrested and released on strict bail conditions.
