Police respond to fight in parking lot off Highway 6

One man was taken to hospital and another man faces multiple charges after Lundar RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a knife in a parking lot off Highway 6 in Eriksdale Sept. 12.

One man was arrested after Lundar RCMP responded to an assault complaint in a parking lot off Highway 6 Sept. 12.

Lundar RCMP responded to a fight in which one man was cut with a knife on Sept. 12.

Police were called to the parking lot of a businesses off Highway 6 in Eriksdale around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. They arrived to find a 32-year-old man From Lake Manitoba First Nation with an upper body injury and called for medical assistance, then found the suspect in a vehicle in the parking lot.

The victim was transported to Winnipeg hospital in stable condition.

Colton Sumner, 25, of Lake Manitoba First Nation, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated  assault, assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
