Nelson House RCMP say a woman found dead outside a Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation residence April 15 is believed to have died from exposure.

Nelson House RCMP are investigating a suspected death from exposure in Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.

Police went to a residence on Tamarack Crescent around noon April 15 after receiving a report of an unresponsive female found outside. 

Attending officers discovered that the 58-year-old woman had died.

Although it isn’t presumed to be a homicide, the investigation by the RCMP and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner remains open pending results of an autopsy.
