Thompson electoral division residents have until May 19 to register or update their information in advance of the June 7 byelection to choose the successor to late Thompson MLA Danielle Adams, who died in a highway crash last December.
People who are eligible to vote who have not received voter information cards in the mail and those whose cards had incorrect information can go to the Elections Manitoba website or contact the Thompson returning office to register or update their information.
Those who do not register or update their information by May 19 will still be able to register at the poll and vote on June 7.
Any Canadian citizen aged 18 or over on June 7 who has lived in the Thompson riding for at least six months on election day is eligible to cast a ballot.
The returning office is located in the Thompson Plaza at 50 Selkirk Ave. in Thompson. It is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Sunday, when it is open from noon to 6 p.m.
Those who wish to register or update their information can call the returning office at 431-451-1110 or toll-free at 1-833-998-4286 or send an email to ROThompson@elections.mb.ca.
