The Thompson RCMP detachment is investigating an incident that took place in the city of Thompson at 11:40 p.m. on May 13.
Sergeant Rob Collen with the Thompson RCMP says a report was received that night about a gunshot that was fired into the window of a residence in the Juniper area. No suspects were located in the area after the RCMP extensively patrolled the grounds and no one was injured by the shot.
Collen says members of the RCMP are concerned with the nature of the incident and are taking the matter, which he describes as isolated, very seriously. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Thompson RCMP detachment at 677-6909.
