Al Meston, accompanied by his three grandchildren, was presented with a fire service medal from the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs in recognition of 25 years of service at a city council meeting on June 29. Fire chief Ian Thompson, Deputy Mayor Oswald Sawh and Coun. Judy Kolada presented Meston with the award.
