The deadline for artists to submit entries for May’s Northern Juried Art Show in Thompson has been extended from April 1 to April 15, chairperson Leigh Hall says.
“We hope this allows for a more successful show,” she said in a March 27 press release, which noted that the artwork dropoff date will remain April 20.
This year’s collection of artwork will be publicly displayed at the Thompson Regional Community Centre May 18–20, and will feature entries ranging from paintings to sculptures to photographs to mixed media displays.
Three jurors will provide critiques and decide which entries are worthy of a cash prize.
Thompson has played host to the art show a total of 10 times before, with the last show here taking place in 2014.
