Mary Ellen MacDonald was in Thompson Nov. 18 for a STAR 5+ test day and a midseason seminar. Mary Ellen is an experienced official, coach and figure skater who has been recognized on a national level for her expertise in officiating figure skating competitions.
Megan Szabo passed her Paso Doble and Blues Senior Silver Dances. Megan is now working to complete her Gold Dances. Amy Shier passed her American Waltz Dance, Junior Silver Skills and Junior Silver FreeSkate Part B. Amy is now working on her Senior Silver FreeSkate and Skills. Emily Penney passed her Senior Bronze FreeSkate Part B and Keats Foxtrot Dance. Coach Megan Wischnewski completed her Senior Bronze FreeSkate Test and 14 Step Dance.
Mary Ellen offered a seminar for STAR 1-4, STAR 5 and our competitive skaters. Skaters worked on jumps, spins, field moves and presentation. This seminar proved to be very valuable to our skaters.
