Wild player will play college hockey in Brandon next school year

Blair Bodie of the Norman Wild has become the third player from the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League to commit to playing for the Assiniboine Community College (ACC) women’s hockey team next year.

Blair Bodie of the Norman Wild has become the third player from the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League to commit to playing for the Assiniboine Community College (ACC) women’s hockey team next year.

A Thompson resident, Bodie has recorded 13 points in 120 games as a member of the Wild and was the recipient of the team’s most dedicated player award last season and a coaches’ award in 2015.

Bodie will be enrolling in the early childhood education program at ACC and intends to continue into education with the ultimate goal of becoming a teacher.

The ACC Cougars play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Another Thompsonite, Lorice Pilling, is playing goal for the Cougars this season.
