Highway 6 reopened following brief closure

Manitoba Infrastructure closed Highway 6 between Ponton and Devil's Lake around 11:20 a.m. Jan. 30 due to poor conditions. The sections Devil's Lake south to Gypsumville and from Thompson to Ponton were also subsequently closed.

Manitoba Infrastructure closed Highway 6 between Ponton and Devil's Lake around 11:20 a.m. Jan. 30 due to poor conditions. The sections Devil's Lake south to Gypsumville and from Thompson to Ponton were also subsequently closed. The highway has since reopened from Gypsumville to Thompson.

Other northern highways closed Jan. 30 include Highway 10 from Highway 77 to Cranberry Portage,which has now reopened, Highway 283 from The Pas to the Saskatchewan border, which has now reopened, and Highway 384 from the vicinity of Moose Lake to the junction with Highway 287, which has also reopened. Highway 373 from Highway 6 to Jenpeg was also closed but has since reopened. Highway 60 between Highway 6 and Highway 10 was closed but has since reopened.
