Four charged with second-degree murder for April 21 killing in Thompson

Four people from Oxford House have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection to the April 21 death of a man who was found injured in a hotel parking lot in Thompson.

RCMP arrested four people April 23-26 and charged each of them with second-degree murder in connection with the killing of a 35-year-old man in Thompson April 21.

Carla Wass, 25, from Oxford House First Nation was arrested in Thompson April 23, while Warren Bradburn, 24, and Gregory Hart, 28, were arrested by RCMP investigators in Oxford House First Nation the following day. On April 26, police arrested 27-year-old Randal Hastings, whom they had announced as a suspect in the killing on April 24, also in Oxford House First Nation. All four remain in custody.

Thompson RCMP were called to the Burntwood Hotel around 1 a.m. Saturday and discovered an injured 35-year-old man in the parking lot. He was transported to Thompson General Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

RCMP continue to investigate.
