Thompson RCMP are investigating two stabbings in Eastwood Oct. 1, which are believed to be related, says Const. Chris Hastie, from the Thompson RCMP detachment.

Thompson RCMP are investigating two stabbings in Eastwood Oct. 1, which are believed to be related, says Const. Chris Hastie, from the Thompson RCMP detachment.

"On Oct. 1, at about 6:50 a.m., Thompson RCMP were dispatched to a man allegedly stabbed in the Eastwood area of the City of Thompson," said Hastie. " A 21-year-old man was found in the area on Princeton Drive.

"Investigation lead police to a different location at an Eastwood area apartment where a 19-year-old man was also located suffering from a stab wound.

"Both [were] transported to the Thompson General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Early indications are that both matters are linked.

"The Thompson RCMP along with the Thompson Forensic Identification Section are currently investigating. To date, no arrests have been made.
