Former Norman Nosrthstar and Thompson native Teagan Moore, who's also played for the Brandon Wheat Kings and Portland Winterhawks of the WHL and finished his fifth season at the University of Calgary earlier this year, has reportedly signed his first professional hockey contract with the Colorado Eagles of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
The imminent signing of the 5'11", 200-pound Moore was announced on Twitter in June by Winnipeg-based hockey agent Darryl Wolski. Moore signed with the Eagles as an amateur after completing his collegiate career, scoring one goal and four assists in seven regular season games and one more goal in three playoff contests.
Moore had 26 goals and 28 assists in 118 career games with the University of Calgary after putting up 43 goals and 68 assists along with 363 penalty minutes in 330 WHL games. He spent four-and-a-half seasons with the Wheat Kings before finishing his career with the Winterhawks.
The Colorado Eagles are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets.
