LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Los Angeles police say they are investigating a series of death threats levelled at Canadian actress Ellen Page.
But they are not revealing any details about the threats, which reportedly include messages sent on Twitter.
The LA Times and the celebrity blog site TMZ obtained a search warrant affidavit that quotes one tweet as stating: "I'm going to murder Ellen Page. She's dead."
Reports say the threats include a phone call to organizers of the L.A. Film Festival, which screened Page's movie "To Rome with Love" in June.
The Halifax-born "Juno" star is not the only celeb to draw unwanted attention on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
Singer Selena Gomez drew death threats after she began dating pop sensation Justin Bieber.
