Kenny Wark had the fastest time through the pit at the third-annual Thompson mud bog among all competitors in the truck competition on July 15, traversing the 160-foot long mud trench in 10.16 seconds to win the open class ahead of runner-up Mario Silva and third-place finisher Joe Carrigan, who went 113 feet before getting stuck.

Marc Klym was the fastest truck driver in the super stock six-cylinder division, making it through in 10.94 seconds on his second attempt to beat Greg Robson, whose best time was 11.01. Third place went to Boe Oleksusk, who made it 66 feet before being bogged down. Klym was also the winner in the modified six-cylinder division with a time of 14.11 seconds, once again beating our Robson, who took 15.81 seconds and Oleksuk, who was third with a distance of 76 feet.

Brent King was the only driver to make it all the way across in the super stock eight-cylinder competition, crossing the pit in 17.18 seconds. Second place went to Roland Becker, who made it 54 feet and Oleksuk was third once more, with a distance of 54 feet.

Wark's time of 18.25 seconds was enough to win the modified eight-cylinder division, with Stephan Wolanski second with a distance of 106 feet and Joe Carrigan third after making it 105 feet.

None of the competitors in the stock division made it through, so Jason McPhee took first place with a distance of 29 feet, followed by Kyle Paulson at 27 feet and Tim Halstead at 25 feet.

The top time in the quad competition, which took place on Sunday, was 6.26 seconds by Matt Bogdaca, winner of the 701 cc and up division, who beat A.J.'s time of 6.64 and third place finisher Les Linklater, who crossed the pit in 6.81 seconds.

The 500 to 700 cc division title went to Klym, who posted a time of 7.77 seconds, beating James Sinclair's 7.81 and Travis Mattock's 8.33 seconds. Klym was also the winner of the side-by-side competition with a time of 8.38 seconds, beating runner-up Jerimiah McKenzie, who crossed in 10.05 seconds, and third-place finisher Jermis Oullette, whose time was 14.55 seconds.

Seth Paulson won the 0 to 500 cc division with a time of 13.58 seconds. Kayla Wyonzek was second in 15.7 seconds and Anton Cablik was third with a time of 18.91 seconds.

Tasha Connolly won the powder puff division with a time of 8.73 seconds.

There were 39 entries in six divisions in the truck competition and 31 entries in five divisions in the quad and side-by-side competition.

The weather was perfect, amazing crowd turnout and no shortage of trucks and ATVs. I cannot express enough how well everything went off this weekend. Everyone stepped up to help run the event.
