Stabbing in Thompson

Thompson RCMP responded to a reported stabbing on June 2 at 4:30 am outside of a residence on Wolf Street in Thompson.

A 36-year old male who was suffering from stab wounds was located at the scene. He was taken to Thompson General Hospital, and later transferred to a Winnipeg Hospital where he was treated and released.

On June 5, Thompson RCMP arrested and charged 19-year old Julian Kenneth Nepton of Thompson on several offences including Aggravated Assault and Robbery.

Nepton was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was released for a court date in July. A 35-year old male from Thompson was also arrested and will be charged for Assault.

The male was released on a promise to appear in court, also for a date in July.

The investigation is ongoing.
