Pukatawagan RCMP have a pair of men in custody who were wanted in connection with a May 3 incident on Amisk Drive in that community that resulted in serious injuries to two people.
Eighteen-year-old Justin Dumas of Pukatawagan turned himself in at the RCMP Pukatawagan detachment on May 29 at about 8:30 p.m.
Dumas is charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, one count of possessing a weapon for dangerous purposes and eight counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
The following day, Donovan Colomb, 22, turned himself in to Pukatawagan RCMP. He faces two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon.
Pukatawagan RCMP issued a request for public assistance locating the two suspects on May 25, advising that both should be considered violent due to the nature of the charges they faced and that they were known to visit Thompson and Leaf Rapids.
Located about 210 kilometres north of The Pas and 820 kilometres north of Winnipeg, Pukatwagan is accessible only by plane and train except in winter when it is connected by a winter road. It has a population of approximately 1,500 people.
