SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (TSX:SNC). Engineering. Down 58 cents, or 1.55 per cent, at $36.73 on 608,488 shares. SNC faces the threat of work stoppage from Candu Energy employees after union votes to strike, would come less than a year after it acquired the nuclear division from the federal government.
Heroux-Devtek (TSX:HRX). Aerospace engineering. Down 35 cents, or 4.05 per cent, at $8.30 on 14,024 shares. The landing gear manufacturer will create 50 new jobs after receiving $6.2 million of financial support from the Quebec government.
