Skating – everywhere in Thompson

The Carter family did what a lot of Thompson residents have been doing over the past week. They latched on their skates in the parking lot in front of their Waterloo Avenue home March 20 – the first day of official spring – and enjoyed the results of the unexpected weather event caused by warm air aloft from southern Manitoba running over cold air at the surface in Northern Manitoba leading to days of freezing rain between March 12 and March 20.
