The cleanup

Debris is removed from a home on Centennial Drive East, the morning after a July 14 fire ripped through the house. At 4:32 a.m., Thompson RCMP were dispatched to assist Thompson Fire & Emergency Services on a report of a house fire in the Southwood area of Thompson.  The fire was successfully put out by firefighters, and no one was injured.  Damage to the residence is extensive, RCMP say, although an exact dollar value is not known. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, with the assistance of the Office of the Fire Commissioner and Thompson Fire & Emergency Services.
