RCMP in Norway House were busy on the morning of July 3, charging five people while recovering large quantities of cocaine and marijuana.
Early that morning, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence along Highway 373. According to Norway House RCMP spokesperson Const. Ryan Kristalovich, police found inside the residence crack cocaine, cash, and firearms. Three people were taken into custody. Gordon Queskekapow, 54, Caroline Queskekapow, 55, and Sheldon North, 33, have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. All three will appear in provincial court at a later date.
Later that morning, a search of another Norway House residence led police to ten ounces of cannabis marijuana—enough for 1400 marijuana cigarettes—and more cash. 41-year-old Carmen Anderson and 20-year-old Darcy Anderson, both of Norway House, were also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
“Drug trafficking in the Norway House area is a priority to the RCMP,” Kristalovich said, “and would not be possible without the assistance of the citizens in this area.” Kristalovich encouraged anybody with knowledge about drug trafficking in Norway House to come forward and aid the RCMP’s efforts.
