Navy man proud of Tammy Watson’s civilian service in Afghanistan

To the Editor:

I am a naval communicator in the Navy. I've been in for 19 years this July, spending a majority of that time posted to Victoria.

I really enjoyed the article on Tammy Watson in the Nickel Belt News June 4. I'm so proud of Tammy for what she did. I went to school with Tammy in elementary and high school. My brother, Master Cpl. Derek Wilkie, is currently serving in Afghanistan with the Air Force. He's been there since early November 2009 and expected to go home to Edmonton in August.
