Busy day expected at Pearson Airport due to March Break getaway

TORONTO - March Break is just about here and that means one of the busiest travel times of the year at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

The airport expects to process 91,000 passengers today and another 98,000 on Friday - the busiest days of the March Break season. Pearson typically handles about 84,000 passengers per day.

With new security measures adopted in December for U.S. travel, passengers are asked to learn the rules before going to the airport.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority says being familiar with all the rules will make the check-in process easier.

More than 500,000 passengers are expected to travel through Pearson during March Break.
