Jonathan Sawatzky’s team beat Travis Graham’s rink in the final to win the Burntwood Curling Club men’s open bonspiel.

Jonathan Sawatzky, Alex Green, Darren Dodds and Keith Mulligan were the overall winners of the Burntwood Curling Club's 50th-annual men's open bonspiel, defeating Travis Graham's rink in the first event final Feb. 28.

Sawatzky's rink made it to the final by beating Wayne McLellan's rink after earlier recording victories over teams skipped by Rae Hainstock, Boyd Horning and Walter Chupka.

Graham's team beat Terry Lamontagne, Garfield Armstrong, Kevin Rolles and Jim Quinn before falling to Sawatzky.

Len Shackel, Jared Schumann, Trent Meston and Al Meston were the winners of the second event, defeating Shaun Kennedy's rink in the final.

The third event final saw Troy Millar, Tim Thompson, Lorne Hopkins and Lyndon Tucker beat Joel Brolund's team.

Ernie Lafreniere, Todd Boisvert, Ray Boisvert and Kyle Boisvert beat Lamontagne's rink to win the fourth event.
