Former Norman Northstar Myles Stevens of the Swan Valley Stampeders, who hails from Norway House, was one of three forwards named to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's second all-star team Feb. 17.

Stevens had 27 goals and 51 assists for 78 points and 161 penalty minutes in 61 games and led the Stampeders in scoring.

Stevens, who has played three full seasons in the MJHL, reached the 200-pooint mark in his 168th game last Dec. 12, a span which saw him produce 69 goals and 131 assists.

He had 26 goals in each of his first two full seasons in the MJHL, after notching two points in 10 games of the 2006-2007 season, which also saw him finish second to Cody Genaille in scoring on the Northstars, registering 24 goals and 34 assists for 58 points in just 30 games while being named the team's most valuable player.

He had 47 assists in 2007-2008 and 45 last season. His previous career high in points was 73 in 2008.

All-star selections are determined by a vote of the 11 MJHL head coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own players.
