Bowlers qualify for provincials

Thompson will be represented by 34 bowlers and eight coaches at the Youth Bowling Canada provincials in Winnipeg March 6.

Thirty-four bowlers and eight coaches from Thompson participated in the Thompson Bowling Zone playoff Feb. 13 and will represent Northern Manitoba at the Youth Bowling Canada provincials in Winnipeg March 6, with 29 competing in team events and five bowlers entered in singles competitions.

Zackery Woytkiw, Brayden Dudley, Nathan Dyke and Ryan Dnistransky will compete in the bantam boys team event, coached by Brad Liske, while Emily McCafferty, Hannah Lowen, Athena O'Callaghan and Chanelle Preston will bowl in the bantam girls division, coached by Ryan O'Callaghan.

The junior girls team includes Rhonda Anderson, Savannah Szocs, Cheryl Romanow, Keanna Liske and coach Anne Marie Bosters, while Kyle Goyak, Cole Goyak, Kyle Pittman, Dylan Stacey and coach Ian Larson make up the junior boys squad.

Senior team members are Jordan Lindsay, Cile Sehn, Alex Snow and coach Jennifer Dyke for the boys, with Ashley Romanow, Jade Bilawka, Melissa Boyko, Becky Hudson and coach Debby Belyea making up the girls' squad.

Zack Hrabarchuk, Wellington Beebe and Zackarrie Pittman are the combo boys' team, coached by RuElle Pittman, with Serenity Katchmar, Danielle Dnistransky and coach Carrie Ann Lindsay making up the combo girls' squad.

Taben Brandt, Cody Hopkins, Arizona O'Callaghan, Colin Hall and Cassandra Neziol will compete in singles events.
